Expertise

Anita is currently a senior research associate at the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research at theUniversity of East Anglia in Norwich, UK. Here she is working on an EU-funded research project called ADAM (Adaptation and Mitigation Strategies for Europe). Her research involves looking at the economic costs associated with extreme weather events, and how these can be reduced through adaptation, particularly in the agricultural sector. She is also involved in research into the economics of adaptation to climate change, and integrating adaptation into existing policies.

Anita is also interested in agricultural trade policy and its effect on production and the environment. Previous research involved investigating changes in global agricultural policy and the likely impacts on greenhouse gas emissions from livestock around the world. She is interested in how the effects of trade policy will interact with global climate-induced changes in production.
